Synopsis: This is the true story of the nineteen-year-old hawker Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu who came from the streets of Mamelodi, a ghetto township outside Pretoria. When he is brutally beaten by the police, Kalushi goes into exile to Angola following the 1976 Soweto uprisings to join the liberation movement. On their way home, his friend Mondy shoots two innocents in Johannesburg and so Kalushi is forced to stand trial under the common purpose doctrine.
